Anna Sarris-Bonache, MSW

Founder & Relational Culture Strategist

Having called the Middle East home since 1995, Anna is not your typical consultant. She blends the foundational tenets of social work with a human-centered approach to help organizations grow through courage, cultural humility, compassion, and connection. Her practice is grounded in the belief that people work best when they feel connected, not only to their work, but to the community of their peers. When individuals support one another’s abilities and are encouraged to grow together, teams strengthen their collective performance and impact. Drawing on lived multicultural experience and deep regional knowledge, Anna helps leaders and teams build relationally intelligent workplaces, where human connection drives collaboration and sustainable business growth.

Of Greek and Spanish heritage, Anna is a heart-centered strategist, facilitator, and connector with over 15 years of global experience across corporate, nonprofit, government, education, and social impact sectors. She has lived and worked in eight countries across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and North America, bringing cross-cultural fluency and a deep understanding of interpersonal and team dynamics to every engagement.

Anna holds a Master of Social Work (USA) and a BA in Liberal Arts (UK), with a focus on organizational development and project leadership. She also completed an Associate Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences (USA), further deepening her foundation in people-centered theory and practice. She is certified in Instructional Design & Training Delivery (ATD) and trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Brené Brown’s The Daring Way™.

Her leadership experience spans both direct service and strategic advisory roles. She previously led organizational change and capacity-building initiatives as Manager of Community-Based Services at the YWCA, a global movement with a long history of driving social change. In this role, she developed cross-functional programs, training pathways, and partnerships to improve outcomes across stakeholder groups.

Anna's academic role as a Lecturer in Social Work at the Higher Colleges of Technology plays a vital role in her consulting practice. She equips the next generation of professionals with evidence-based models, clinical insight, and a systems-thinking lens. Her work integrates trauma-informed and inclusive practices, unconscious bias, mental health literacy, and emotional and relational intelligence with culturally responsive frameworks, skills she actively applies in team development, organizational culture building, and workplace learning design through HeartWork.

Her early career at Avantgarde, a global leader in brand experience, deepened her understanding of experiential learning and audience engagement, skills she brings into every training room. She also served as Regional Director for the Middle East & Africa at Knowingo, a Dutch startup specializing in AI-powered, gamified mobile learning. She led the deployment of digital learning platforms with high adoption rates and measurable impact, demonstrating her ability to scale learning in innovative, tech-enabled ways.

Anna’s client portfolio spans diverse sectors, including logistics, retail, construction, banking, and consumer goods. She has advised entities such as Dubai Chambers, Dubai Culture, DP World, Majid Al Futtaim, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, Takamol Holding (KSA), and the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority.

Through HeartWork, Anna continues to champion a future where human connection is at the heart of organizational success, one courageous conversation, one compassionate team, and one inclusive culture at a time.
